FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find everything you need to know before placing an order — from delivery options to flavour customisation and workshops.
Orders & Payment
Do you accept orders?
Yes, Ray accepts limited custom cake and dessert orders for celebrations, weddings, and events.
How do I pay for my order?
Once you’ve submitted an order request, we’ll be in touch with a quote.
A deposit is required to secure your date and order.
Cancellations made during the week of your order will forfeit the full deposit amount.
Cancellations made earlier are eligible for a full credit transfer or a 50% refund.
Can you ship interstate or overseas?
Orders for cakes and larger desserts are not available for interstate or international shipping at this time.
However, during certain festive periods (such as for mooncakes, cookies, and seasonal gift boxes), selected items are available for shipping within Australia via Raya Bakery’s website.
Do you accept wholesale orders?
No, I currently don’t have capacity for wholesale production — but I love collaborating on large events or special projects.
For cafés and venues, wholesale or stockist collaborations are handled via Raya Bakery or Dua.
Customisation
Are you able to do custom flavours?
Yes! I love experimenting with new flavours and techniques. If you have something in mind, please mention it in your order form.
Do you make gluten-free, vegan or egg-free desserts?
I currently don’t have the capacity to accommodate gluten-free, vegan or egg-free desserts.
All cakes and desserts are made in a kitchen where dairy, gluten and nuts are present.
Collection & Delivery
When can I collect my order?
Pick-up times will be confirmed once your order is received.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes. Delivery within Melbourne is available via Sherpa
For larger cakes (two-tier and above), I personally deliver and set up at the venue — prices start from $150.
Tips for transporting your cake:
If you’re picking up your order, please transport it in a well-air-conditioned vehicle.
If no one is holding the cake, place it on the floor of the front passenger seat and drive slowly and carefully.
Storage & Serving
How do I store my cake or dessert?
Please refrigerate your order upon collection.
For the best taste and texture, allow your cake to come to room temperature before serving — usually 1–2 hours out of the fridge, depending on the season.
Workshops & Collaborations
Do you teach workshops?
Yes! I occasionally run workshops and announce them on my Instagram and under the ‘Events’ tab here on the site.
Who takes your photos?
I shoot most of my own photos using an Olympus EM5-II or my iPhone, and edit them myself in Lightroom.
Some of my favourite shoots have been captured in collaboration with LeonardPixel and XC Creatives.
